<< Five Sure-Fire Tips For Writing A Winning Resume  education resume >>

I want to apply to college as a teacher, though I never had experience with big audience.
I have PHD in engineering. I worked as a tutor and assistant in the other country. During last 3 years i gained proficient experience in customer service. Now I'm very confused if I should include my customer service experience in my resume or is it better not to?

Maybe youknow some usefull website links regarding this topic.
I appreciate your help
Thank you in advance

NO WAY! Your resume should show RELEVANT work experience. See the link below for a sample resume for someone with an Education degree who is looking for a teaching position.

However, I think you may need to develop your English skills to a higher level if you're looking at applying to a university in an English-speaking country.

I don't know any websites off hand; but I would definitely include it. As a teacher your students are going to be your customers and being able to serve them is part of your job. I would look at it as an asset.

Definitely include it - it's work experience that shows you held down a job for 3 years and probably have good interpersonal skills which may not always be the case for engineers.

I dont believe you should mention it other than in you past work history….The employer is more interested in your experience and education relating to the position you are applying for. So unless you customer service experience directly relates to the job you are applying for only mention it in your job history.

    DEFINITELY INCLUDE IT!!!

When you teach - what do you think you are providing your students with?

Your service is your knowledge and they are your customers………..it is up to you to give the very best customer service possible.
