Both becuase your education is more important when is backed up by experience but if you have experience and don’t have education on the area you’re looking for then another person could get the job. The more education and experience you have the better. Good luck!

It depends on the point in your career that you're in right now. Right out of college, your education is key, because a lot of companies look for high GPA, realizing that you don't have the exact experience that they need, but your high GPA indicates that you learn quickly and will be able to pick up the company's environment quickly.
As you get further away from graduation, experience becomes much more important, because now you've learned about different things, been exposed to various problems or environments, and have learned from them what you couldn't in school.
They say to keep your GPA on your resume for about 5 years. After that, all you need is just your degree and school, because experience becomes more of a factor.
When you read the classified ads, you'll see that there are many jobs that say "2-5 yrs exp", "5+ yrs exp", "5-10 yrs xp", and so on. Use this as a guide as to how much your education should weigh in at those points in your career.

So many people get BS or BA’s it’s hard to distinguish yourself with just an education, unless you are applying to a prestigious company with a degree from a prestigious university under your belt.
If you are looking to get hired entry-level, having a degree is a good thing because many applicants for such positions may not have one and you will stand out more.
Your degree will be most helpful down the line, when it comes time to move up the ladder, and the combination of both becomes most important.
If you have an imbalance on your resume (such as lots of education, very little relevant work experience) play up your community involvement such as coaching, volunteer work (break down by project) and list verifiable people who can attest to your work ethic and dedication.
If you have a lot of work experience, be specific about the times you went above and beyond your day to day duties, did tasks that were above the skillset you were hired for, and showed you took initiative and are capable and willing of performing above your level.
