I have been at home taking care of my son since 2000. After his dad died in june of 2000 I decided to take time off of work and move back in with my mom and raise our son until he started school.
I think it all depends on what industry you want to work in. There are specialized sites for several industries (Dice.com for tech jobs, jobs.efinancialcareers.com for finance jobs, secsinthecity.com for secretarial jobs, etc.) but for general help, I'd check out Vault.com or Monster.com. Try the Microsoft Office website. Here is the link that will take you to the resume template section. If you click on the "Template" link on the left nav, you can get templates for cover letters if you need it.
